RAP Society – Riverside Avondale Preservation
Since its founding in 1974, RAP has been an advocate for active preservation of our neighborhood’s historic assets. Historic preservation is much more than saving old buildings. Modern preservation efforts are about saving the heart of communities, ensuring vibrant, special places full of character. This means looking beyond architecture to what makes historic towns and neighborhoods thrive – actively used historic buildings, healthy businesses, and community gathering spaces being paramount.

This classic home on Talbot was in need of some TLC and the CertaPro team did a great job with concrete repair, caulking of old windows & painting of the entire exterior. The customer has a great eye for color and chose a beautiful color scheme for her home.

SPAR – Springfield Preservation & Revitalization
As Jacksonville’s oldest existing neighborhood, circa 1869, Springfield contains a diverse catalog of architectural styles and treasures. But it’s not just the Victorian, Prairie School and Colonial Revival homes that make the neighborhood special; it’s also the mature tree canopy and historic streetscapes that are worth protecting.

This beautiful home is undergoing major renovations including a total overhaul on color! The new porches, ceilings, windows & entire exterior were all part of this project as well as re-caulking all of the openings. Don’t worry as the bricks were previously painted! (Note to Henry – bricks can’t be painted if not previously painted in a lot of these areas).

The area we know today as San Marco has a long and rich history, known by many names over many years. Starting as a 216-acre Spanish land grant in 1793, the land was transferred to the Craig and Hendricks families, passed down through generations, then sold into residential parcels after the Civil War. South Jacksonville was formed in 1907,

This beautiful home near the heart of San Marco needed a good cleaning and had all of the trim repainted. The CertaPro team also repaired over 100’ of rotten trim boards along the soffits and made sure to match the existing designs.

MHPA – Murrah Hill Preservation Society
The Murray Hill Preservation Association was founded in 1932 and is one of the State of Florida’s oldest continuously operating neighborhood associations.
MHPA is an all-volunteer not-for-profit group working with residents, merchants and the City of Jacksonville to promote, preserve and protect the resources and history of the Murray Hill neighborhood. The oldest existing house in Murray Hill was built in 1898 at 916 Talbot Avenue.
